WEEE & It equipment
The waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) regulation was introduced by the European Union in 2003. This was imposed to try and reduce the amount of WEEE going to landfill. All WEEE must now be disposed of through a licensed waste carrier and be recycled where possible.
All business are now required under WEEE legislation to be responsible for their redundant goods and to ensure that they are not going to landfill or incineration. Some WEEE is classed as Hazardous Waste and must be disposed of safely.
At BKP we have our team of experts with experience and knowledge in WEEE. This is complemented by our fully licensed transfer station where we can deal with all your WEEE requirements from safe containment to collection and recycling to certificated destruction (on request).
Recycling general

At BKP we have our own waste transfer station and material recovery facility. Our recycling options include in-vessel composting facilities designed for local authority and commercial volumes of food waste and green waste, as well as facilities for open window composting where green waste is recycled into a range of high quality compost and topsoil.

Paper & Cardboard
Cardboard and paper makes up one fifth of all typical household dustbins and consists mainly of newspapers, magazines, mail and cardboard, all of which are perfect for cardboard recycling and should be directed away from landfill.
BKP offers a dedicated cardboard recycling collection service where we are able to site wheelie bins at the customer’s premises and collect materials as part of a scheduled cardboard recycling collection service. For larger volumes of cardboard recycling, we are able to provide roll-on roll-off containers. We also collect already baled cardboard from our customers and take this directly to a cardboard recycling mill.
Wood Recycling
BKP are market leaders and pioneers in waste wood recycling and offer a complete service in this area from containment to collection and sorting to reusing. All clean wood goes for animal bedding and lower grade wood is sent to waste to energy plants.
Metal
BKP are experts in this field and have been providing a problem free service to our customers for over 50 combined years. We offer a complete cost effective service from containment to collection and sorting to reusing.
