Whilst the likes of Dustin Johnston, Jordan Spieth and Rory Mcilroy will be amongst the favourites for the 2017 Masters this weekend, they'll only be following in the footsteps of our own Golf Master. We are delighted to say that one of our team, Amanda Cousens, won the ladies competition at this year's Masters of Waste Golf Tournament! Up against some stiff competition from fellow waste and recycling services professionals, Amanda completed the course in some style to take the title at a fantastic day at The Grove.
The Masters of Waste Golf Tournament.
Organised by the online industry directory Lets Recycle, the annual tournament (celebrating its 7th edition in 2017) provides a great opportunity for waste and recycling companies to network, whilst taking part in a friendly challenge over 18 holes at a renowned golf course, this year it was the turn of The Grove, in Hertfordshire, to host. With the day also raising money for Child Bereavement UK, it has become one of the most anticipated days in the waste and recycling services industry calendar, so we were delighted to be able to send a team to participate.
The BKP team was made up of CEO Nick Healey, Managing Director, Gavin Reed, Accounts and Compliance Manager Tom Healey and Business Development Manager (and Ladies Champion!), Amanda Cousens. Lots of fun was had and plenty of money was raised for a worthy cause, so well done all!
